Olamide Samuel was the Coordinator of SCRAP Weapons (2019- 2021), and a Senior Teaching Fellow at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) University of London.
Olamide earned a PhD in Security and Intelligence Studies (National Security Strategy) from the Centre for Security and Intelligence Studies at the University of Buckingham (2019). He also earned an MA in Security, Intelligence and Diplomacy from the same institution (2014). He earned his B.ILD degree in International Law and Diplomacy from Babcock University, Nigeria (2013).
He is the convener of the Global #FreezeWeapons Campaign and the SOAS Pugwash Society, and a member of the Scientific Committee at the Center for International Strategic Analyses (KEDISA), and the security task force in the Vatican COVID-19 Commission created by Pope Francis.
