Dr Francesca Silvestri is a Research Associate on the Third Nuclear Age project team, and a part-time teacher in International Relations and Security Studies at Nottingham Trent University. She holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of Nottingham, where her thesis examined the US-India nuclear deal. Her current research focuses on the evolution of US nuclear policy towards South Asia and the impact of US-China nuclear relations and of new technologies on the security dynamics in South Asia.
She is a member of the British International Studies Association.
